Miguel Calero was a Colombian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He was born on April 14, 1971, in Ginebra, Colombia. Calero began his professional career with Deportivo Cali in 1991 and went on to play for a number of clubs in Colombia and Mexico, including Atletico Nacional and Pachuca.
Calero was known for his agility, shot-stopping abilities and leadership qualities on the field. He was also a standout performer for the Colombian national team, earning 50 caps in total.
Tragically, Calero passed away on December 3, 2012, at the age of 41, due to complications from a stroke he suffered a few days earlier. He is remembered as one of the greatest goalkeepers in Colombian football history and a beloved figure in the sport.
